Michael has over 25 years of experience in the consumer packaged goods and marketing services industries working in business development and marketing for startup and Fortune 500 companies.
Prior to joining The NLP Group, Michael assisted in the launch of the Brand Consulting practice at dunnhumby. He also led the CPG business development efforts for YOU Technology, a San Francisco based digital start-up company. During his 6-year career at YOU Technology, Michael was the top revenue producer while leading a team whose primary role was to build the digital promotions and loyalty solutions business. He also assisted in the launch of YOU Technology’s digital coupon platform and pioneered programs such as the first digital loyalty solutions for Campbell’s and General Mills.
Prior to joining YOU Technology, Michael was at Catalina Marketing as Director of Business Development. There he developed a portfolio of businesses that he grew to $4 million within two years. His clients included companies such as Gillette, Fuji, Cadbury, Sorrento Lactalis and Stonyfield Farms.
Before pursuing a career in business development, Michael was in brand management. He started his marketing career at Fort James Corporation and later obtained his MBA from Fordham University. He joined Kraft Foods in August of 2000 and was ultimately promoted to Brand Manager in the Desserts Division, where he led a record year in sales and profit for the shelf stable desserts line.
Michael received his BA from Union College, graduating as a member of the ice hockey team and the International Economic Society.
